“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 18:18
There are currently 2,873,674,000* (roughly) people who have no idea who Jesus is. No idea what the bible is. 2,873,674,000 have never been told the good news proclaimed in the gospel. No one has told them. Why are we comfortable? Why are we not restless in the knowledge that 2,873,674,000 do not know the Saviour's love? We shouldn't stop until EVERYONE KNOWS. The church doesn't exist for itself. The church isn't a building. It isn't four walls. It's a group of people committed to the cause of Christ. The Great Commission. God's purpose for us is to use us to tell others about him!
Sure we're not all meant to go and evangelize, or go on missions trip. But our goal should be to love others as Christ loved us. Self-lessly. Whole-hearted. No holds barred. We are called to be the God colours on this earth, to shine. To the homeless guy on the street, to our co-worker, to our family; we aren't meant to keep Jesus bottled up inside of us. The cross is for everyone.
What are you waiting for? Go! There are people out there desperate for our obedience to God!
"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me.""
I'll go. No matter what the cost.
